    The House of Representatives adjourns its regular session, held today, Tuesday, until tomorrow, Wednesday.

    The House of Representatives said in a statement received by Alsumaria News, “Parliament adjourned its session held today, until tomorrow, Wednesday, after voting on a number of draft laws.”

    During its session today, the House of Representatives voted on “a draft law amending the law on Iraq’s accession to the International Convention on Load Lines of 1966 and its amended Protocol of 1988, amended in 2003 No. (14) of 2020,” according to the Media Department.



    The department also indicated that it “completed the first reading of the proposed law for the first amendment to the law establishing the equivalence of Arab and foreign certificates and academic degrees No. (20) of 2020, as well as the first reading of the proposed law amending the Law on the Legal Profession No. (173) of 1965.”

    Earlier, the Iraqi Council of Representatives held its 11th session of the first legislative term of the third legislative year and the fifth electoral session, headed by the Acting Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi.

    The Media Department of the House of Representatives stated in a statement received by Al-Sumaria News, that the Acting Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, opened the work of Session No. 11 of the first legislative term, the third legislative year, the fifth electoral cycle, in the presence of 175 deputies.
