    Today, Thursday, the Federal Integrity Commission announced the issuance of an order to bring in the advisor to the former Minister of Agriculture and the head and members of the Estimated Costs Committee in the Ministry, for deliberately causing harm to the funds and interests of the entity in which they work and are connected by virtue of their job.
    The Authority’s Government Information and Communications Office stated, according to a statement received by Al-Iqtisad News, that “the judge of the Rusafa Investigation Court, which specializes in cases of integrity, money laundering, and economic crime, issued a summons order against the advisor to the former Minister of Agriculture, for wasting public money in the case of establishing the General Company for Agricultural Equipment in the Ministry.” By transferring a contract to supply (50,000) thousand tons of Dab fertilizer for a total amount of (26,000,000) million dollars to an Emirati company.”
    He added, “The price of a ton of dab in the contract amounted to $520 from a Saudi origin” and “wasl” to the port of Umm Qasr, while the cost estimation committee in the Ministry of Agriculture estimated the price of a ton at $393, based on international prices, pointing out that According to estimates, the price of a ton in Iraqi dinars is equivalent to (472,080) thousand dinars, while the purchase price reached (630,000) thousand dinars, which led to a waste of public money.”
    He referred to “the investigating judge’s decision to approach the Central Bank of Iraq to take legal measures against the Iraqi Islamic Bank for opening two credits for foreign transfers, and the existence of a difference of (10,000,000) million US dollars in the amount of the two credits opened in the bank to enter the currency auction, stressing that the difference is due to The difference between the amounts of commercial lists for the purpose of opening an internal documentary credit and the amounts of commercial lists and SWIFT (issuing a credit) for the purpose of opening an external documentary credit.
    He continued, "The judge decided to bring in five other defendants, namely: the head and members of the cost estimation committee in the ministry, in addition to recording the statements of the legal representative of the Ministry of Agriculture, explaining that the recruitment order was issued in accordance with the provisions of Article (340) of the Penal Code."
