A woman accused of selling children and an escaped convict were overthrown in Baghdad

Detachments of the Ministry of Interior and the Baghdad Operations Command began carrying out security duties yesterday, Saturday, which resulted in the arrest of a girl accused of selling children, in addition to the arrest of 134 residency violators in Baghdad.
The first operation was carried out in the Zayouna Apartments area, east of Baghdad, by a force from the Al-Karkh Office to Combat Human Trafficking, in conjunction with a detachment of the arresting force, and they were able to arrest a girl accused of selling a 25-day-old infant, in flagrante delicto, after she was ambushed.
Another detachment from the Anti-Crime Bureau (Karada), and during the daily deployment of its detachments, was able to arrest a defendant escaping from a 10-year court sentence after committing a crime according to Article (442/Tasleib), in addition to arresting two defendants according to Article (32/Narcotics) by a joint force. From the 4th Baghdad Al-Rusafa Emergency Regiment, along with a detachment from the Narcotics Control Bureau, they were found in possession of an axis pistol, a quantity of crystal narcotic substances, and five drug abuse devices.
The accused and the seized materials were handed over to the competent authorities to complete the legal procedures

Also in Baghdad, a force from the First Division of the Federal Police and the units attached to it were able to carry out a search and inspection duty in the (Al-Bataween) area, next to Al-Rusafa.
The inspection process resulted in the arrest of 134 violators for not having official documents and approvals from the Department of Residence and Citizenship.
The Baghdad Operations Command called on the owners of shops, restaurants and markets not to employ violators and those exceeding the residency period and to report them to spare them from legal accountability.
