The Iraq Money Recovery Fund announced today, Sunday, the recovery of about two million dollars from the account of the railway company of the former regime.
Vice Chairman of the Fund’s Board of Directors, Ayman Daoud Salman, told the official agency, followed by “Al-Eqtisad News”: “The Iraq Money Recovery Fund was able to recover about two million dollars from the railway company’s account for the former regime.”
He added, "These accounts belong to the General Railway Company within the plan's projects, which amounted to 1,918,486 US dollars, which is equivalent to 2,267,645,000 Iraqi dinars."
He continued, "These amounts were returned to the Ministry of Finance's account at the Central Bank of Iraq."
