    On Monday, sources familiar with economic affairs revealed new information regarding the case of the “Trade Bank of Iraq,” confirming the existence of a warning and seizure of funds against 12 companies.

    Economic observers had previously said, “This situation raises observers’ doubts about the existence of cooperation between influential parties and borrowers, who appear to be avoiding paying the money owed.”
     
    The observers called for "supporting the bank to recover the money and achieve justice, while giving priority to not settling with these debtors," adding that "some debtors exploit laws and favoritism in a twisted way to avoid repaying loans, in cooperation with powerful parties."
