BAGHDAD / NINA / MP for the Ahrar bloc, Abdul Aziz Dhalimi said, "The House of Representatives will have a firm position towards the establishment of the US military base in Arbil."
He told the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA /: "A large number of members of the House of Representatives rejected the idea of renewed US involvement in Iraq by building a US base in Irbil, because Kurdistan region is an integral part of Iraq, and the violation of its sovereignty means the violation of Iraqi sovereignty as a whole ".
He added: "Any action contrary to the Constitution and the opinion of Parliament is totally rejected, and there will be a firm stance by the political blocs if US military base built," calling on the government to act to end this topic as soon as possible.
A high-ranking source in the government of the Kurdistan province recently revealed talks between the provincial government for the use of the (Harir) Airport within the province of Erbil as military base for US forces in the operations of the international coalition to strike Islamic State in Iraq.
With the Kurdistan Regional Government confirmed yesterday the continuation of the talks for the establishment of a US military base in the region, like Incirlik base in Turkey. / End
