    [size=45]The upcoming Arab Summit in Baghdad is a decision by the Arab League that responded to the request of Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani during the Riyadh Summit in May 2023, and coincided with the Bahrain Summit being held yesterday, and was met with an official Iraqi welcome, expressed by the Prime Minister in a statement issued by his media office in which he said: “On behalf of the Republic of Iraq, the government and the people, we express our sincere welcome to the Arab League’s decision to accept our request at the Riyadh Summit to host the Arab League meeting at the summit level, in its thirty-fourth regular session, under the presidency of Iraq, in Baghdad during the year 2025, just as we extend our thanks and appreciation to the brothers in the Arab Republic The Syrians who abdicated the presidency of the next session in favor of Iraq.”[/size]
    [size=45]He added, “The arrival of our brothers, kings, presidents, leaders, and heads of fraternal Arab delegations, once again, as guests in Baghdad of history and civilization, is a continuation of our country’s approach to integration with the Arab environment and continuing to present Iraq to its historical and pivotal role, as a pillar of peace, brotherhood, and stability, and a ground for convergence to take root.” Joint Arab action, development opportunities flourish, and future visions for development and confronting challenges are formulated.”[/size]
    [size=45]The Arab League’s decision to hold the next Arab summit in Baghdad was welcomed governmental, parliamentary and politically, and while government advisors considered the step to consolidate Iraq’s pioneering and pivotal role in the region and the Arab world, representatives considered it a natural result of the success of the government program to strengthen Iraq’s relations with its neighbors on the basis of diplomacy of dialogue, work and interests. While observers confirmed that the upcoming summit will achieve important political and economic gains that will open more doors for Arab brothers to contribute to supporting the investment file in stable Iraq.[/size]

    [size=45]Adviser to the Prime Minister, Farhad Alaeddin, says, “The holding of the Arab summit in Baghdad is the result of the successful foreign policy of Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, which paved the way for Iraq to enjoy the best relations with all Arab countries from the Gulf to the ocean without exception.”[/size]
