The technology, information and communications economy in the developed world has made great strides, to some extent, and has become a major topic on the agenda of international conferences, and achieving this great progress is closely linked to e-government. To talk about the technology economy and the communications revolution, Golan magazine conducted an interview with Dr. Goldran Abdel Rahim, Professor of Banking and Financial Sciences at the Faculty of Management and Economics at Saladin University, who spoke about many topics:
Dr. Goldran Abdel Rahim said: The global economy is currently developing very rapidly, and there will be a major shift in the method of economic system and management. The world is evolving from classical economics to cognitive and informational economics. Even the technological and communications revolution exceeded the ability of human intelligence and moved towards artificial intelligence. This form of the technological economy is discussed in global conferences alongside climate change, international security, crises and energy, especially since this type of economy has brought about a transformation in production and production relations, thus changing sectors of life and various areas of the economy.
On the other hand, she indicated that we must start quickly in the sectors of education, e-learning, and the widespread use of technology, because for the Kurds, we do not need many years to adapt to this progress. The problem is that most people misuse means of communication and information in the field of media and social media, or use them in a bad way through defamation, propaganda, and partisanship. Technology and communications are used to manage life, economy and transform sectors. We were unable to study electronically at home, continue studying from our office, or use technology and artificial intelligence to diagnose diseases and treatments.
Dr. Goldran also said: The governments of the United States, France, the Netherlands, Japan, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Australia, and even Turkey, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Mexico, and Brazil are considered among the pioneering countries that have achieved electronic government. She pointed out that electronic banks through Visa and MasterCard cards and their electronic transactions have a major role in improving the level of Banking and financial services, economic and financial development, where every citizen can electronically and away from cash transactions and service transactions, pay fees and taxes, receive money, market transactions and trade. The benefits of this field are many, from speeding up the process and reducing costs, to other disadvantages of dealing in paper currency, and to the issues of ending the cash flow problem.
Regarding the extent of paying attention to technology and information, she explained that we must first pay great attention to technology, communications and information at all stages of primary, secondary, secondary, university and higher education, then open quick courses for employees working in the field of e-government. It is wrong to use communications and social media for partisanship and defamation. And hurt each other.
