    Baghdad / Obelisk Event:
Security expert Fadel Abu Ragheef revealed the importance of the new digital data center in the Iraqi Ministry of Interior, describing it as “the largest technical and technological project” in the field of governance and automation.
Abu Ragheef enumerated the advantages of the digital data center in that it provides the latest security solutions to protect government data from cyber attacks, which enhances the country’s national security.
The center allows for a smooth exchange of information between various government departments, which contributes to improving the efficiency of services provided to citizens.
The project also works to facilitate the procedures for obtaining documents, and helps end citizens’ suffering in obtaining documents such as a birth certificate and a copy of registration, which saves time and effort.
The center contributes to combating corruption and extortion by facilitating the process of tax accounting and various collections.
The center provides a smooth and flexible flow of information, making it easier for citizens to obtain the information they need.
The center was designed and built according to the highest international quality standards, including ISO and Aptime standards.
The building was also designed to resist earthquakes and floods, ensuring that the center continues to function even in emergency situations.
The building is equipped with a backup power system that enables it to operate for a full month in the event of a power outage.
All necessary measures have been taken to protect data from any damage or loss, through the presence of secure backup copies in various locations.

The new digital data center represents a qualitative shift in the field of cybersecurity and government services in Iraq.
This exceptional project is an important step towards achieving the Iraqi government’s vision of building a modern state that provides distinguished services to its citizens.

On Saturday, Iraqi Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani opened the digital data center in the capital, Baghdad.
The opening of the digital data center represents an important step towards strengthening the digital infrastructure in Iraq.
The digital data center will contribute to improving information management and facilitating access to government data, which enhances efficiency and transparency in government work. The new center will also enable the provision of more effective electronic services to citizens.
The Prime Minister's Media Office stated in a statement that Al-Sudani opened the center in the Ministry of Interior, praising the importance of this achievement in strengthening the digital infrastructure.
Technical sources told Al-Masala that the project will help modernize the country’s data system by providing a secure information base, providing speed in completion, and eliminating red tape.
This project reflects the Iraqi government's commitment to improving public services and developing basic infrastructure, which contributes to supporting sustainable development and achieving economic and social stability.
