[rtl]Baghdad/ NINA /The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries and its allies, OPEC Plus, agreed to extend oil production cuts until the end of 2025, in order to support prices amid rising interest rates and increasing US production.
A statement issued by OPEC Plus stated, “It was agreed to extend the level of total production of crude oil for OPEC member states and countries outside it, participating in the Declaration of Cooperation, from January 1, 2025 until December 31 of the same year.”
Since the end of 2022, the coalition has adopted supply cuts in an attempt to boost oil prices. ”
OPEC “Plus” members are currently reducing production by about six million barrels per day, whether based on a decision taken at the alliance level or through additional voluntary restrictions.
