The source said in an interview with Al-Sumaria News, “The foreign ministers of Iraq, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia are now holding meetings in Riyadh after Saudi mediation to resolve the differences between the governments of Baghdad and Kuwait,” without giving further details.

The issue of border demarcation and the agreement to regulate navigation in Khor Abdullah is one of the most important problems between Iraq and Kuwait. Last January, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait demanded that Iraq adhere to the agreement signed in 2012, which was deposited with the United Nations, related to the regulation of navigation in Khor Abdullah, against the backdrop of political movements. Parliament demands the unilateral cancellation of the agreement.
