Al-Sudani: Iraq is the cornerstone of stability in the region and the world

Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, during his presidency of the Cabinet session held yesterday, Tuesday, directed that the Eid Al-Adha holiday for official departments be from Sunday, June 16, until Thursday, June 20, with official work resuming on Sunday, June 23.
The Prime Minister's Media Office statement stated that Al-Sudani expressed his appreciation for the step of the esteemed House of Representatives to approve the budget schedules, appreciating the great effort exerted by all political forces, the Presidency of Parliament, and the Finance Committee, and considered it a responsible position that complements what the government and relevant ministries began.
The Prime Minister directed the Ministries of Planning and Finance to take into account procedural aspects, as the government places great importance on launching projects without obstacles, noting that the budget amounting to (211) trillion dinars requires sound procedures and care in investing financial allocations, in a way that preserves public money and blocks corruption attempts.
Regarding the UN Security Council setting the date for ending the work of the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI), the Prime Minister considered the matter an international and international recognition of the progress achieved on the Iraqi scene in all fields, and it represents a positive message on the path of the political process and the political system with its constitutional institutions and national political forces capable of managing The country, stressing that the achievement was achieved thanks to the sacrifices of our people and our armed forces in all their forms, and the insistence on the peaceful transfer of power.
Al-Sudani explained that the recent resolution of the UN Security Council places Iraq at the heart of its civilizational role, as a cornerstone in any security and economic stability process that the region and the world need, and this is consistent with our policy of consolidating Iraq’s positive role in supporting global and regional peace, and standing by the just causes that Our Arab and Islamic world is facing it, the issue of Palestine at the forefront.
The Council discussed a number of topics on its agenda and took appropriate decisions.
