    The head of the Electricity Committee of the Baghdad Provincial Council, Noura Al-Juhaishi, confirmed today, Thursday, that in the coming days there will be important laws to deter owners of violating private generators, while noting that we have called on the judiciary to intervene.

    Al-Juhaishi said in an exclusive interview with Al-Sumaria News, “The Oil and [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/entity/1746608456/%D9%84%D8%AC%D9%86%D8%A9 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%BA%D8%A7%D8%B2/ar/]Gas Committee[/url] of the [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/entity/2097074406/%D9%85%D8%AC%D9%84%D8%B3 %D9%85%D8%AD%D8%A7%D9%81%D8%B8%D8%A9 %D8%A8%D8%BA%D8%AF%D8%A7%D8%AF/ar/]Baghdad Provincial Council[/url], headed by [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/entity/2641405697/%D8%B5%D8%A8%D8%A7%D8%AD %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%85%D8%B4%D9%87%D8%AF%D8%A7%D9%86%D9%8A/ar/]Sabah Al-Mashhadani[/url], was the one who submitted a proposal to the Prime Minister regarding the owners of private generators, and it was met by the Prime Minister,” noting that “this file concerns electricity and instead of providing Solutions for private generators: The perennial electricity problem must be solved once and for all, and patchwork solutions must be avoided.”



    She added, "The initiative approved by the Prime Minister's Office concerns supporting the owners of private generators, which consisted of giving fuel to them during the summer period at a subsidized price. In return, they reduce the amperage price for citizens, but many of them do not comply."

    She continued, "We asked the Chairman of the [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/entity/118981/%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%85%D8%AC%D9%84%D8%B3 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%A3%D8%B9%D9%84%D9%89 %D9%84%D9%84%D9%82%D8%B6%D8%A7%D8%A1/ar/]Supreme Judicial Council[/url], Faiq Zaidan, that the judicial authority be the one that imposes penalties on the owners of generators, because when district managers arrest violators among them within minutes, they are bailed out and removed because there is no law or penalty that binds them and is a real deterrent to them."

    She explained, "Many generator owners are greedy towards citizens, and we are trying with the legal authorities to have a real legal deterrent to reduce it because the government has provided all facilities to them, including a subsidized fuel share and other measures."

    She pointed out that "in the coming days, during the fifth session of the [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/entity/2097074406/%D9%85%D8%AC%D9%84%D8%B3 %D9%85%D8%AD%D8%A7%D9%81%D8%B8%D8%A9 %D8%A8%D8%BA%D8%AF%D8%A7%D8%AF/ar/]Baghdad Provincial Council[/url], there will be important laws to deter violators, but today we need very quick solutions," explaining that "there cannot be a punishment for generator owners without a legal clause, and there is no legal clause for them, and this is what "Make them ease the penalties imposed on them, and this is what we demanded from the Iraqi judiciary
