    The Director General of the General Company for Iraqi Ports, Farhan Al-Fartousi, announced today, Monday, the imminent signing of a contract with an international company to operate the Faw Port.
    Al-Fartousi said, during the opening of the first section of the road linking the Faw Port and the submerged tunnel, that "a contract will be signed with an international company to operate the Faw Port."
    He stressed, "Achieving advanced rates of completion in the five-berth project in the port," noting that "77 million cubic meters of soil have been removed from the navigation channel."
