[rtl]Baghdad / NINA / Today's newspapers, Tuesday, focused on the numbering and enumeration process for the general population census and the parliament's denial of increasing the salaries of its members.
Regarding the numbering and enumeration process, Al-Zawraa newspaper, issued by the Journalists Syndicate, said that the Ministry of Planning has set the objectives of the numbering and enumeration process for the general population census, noting that this process represents an advanced stage of the general census.
The newspaper quoted the ministry's spokesman, Abdul Zahra Al-Hindawi, as saying: "The numbering and enumeration processes for the general population census have been launched in all Iraqi governorates, where more than 30,000 field researchers participated in this process, who were trained at a high level during the past weeks, so they were effective and prepared for this process. He added: The process will continue for 60 days for all floors, buildings and facilities throughout Iraq according to the satellite images taken for all areas, including informal housing complexes and other buildings and residences. Indicating: This process represents the backbone of the general population census because it will provide important data on the housing situation in Iraq and the nature of existing facilities and commercial activities if they are among these facilities.
He continued: The numbering and enumeration process will also provide data on the number of families and their members, whether in cities, villages or rural areas. Therefore, this process represents an advanced, important and essential stage of the general population and housing census. Noting: Within the form for enumerating buildings and facilities, there are descriptions and definitions for each building, and based on this description, the numbering process will be carried out, meaning that any facility on the ground, whether it is a commercial store, a car garage or a residential building, is numbered according to this classification. When numbering, there is a specific indication indicating the type of this building or facility. The Ministry of Planning had previously announced the launch of the numbering and enumeration stage for the population census. Earlier
, Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani chaired the Supreme Population Council, while issuing several decisions regarding the upcoming population census, including a curfew for November 20 and 21, to conduct the population census. A statement from the Prime Minister's Media Office stated that "the Prime Minister chaired the third meeting of the Supreme Population Council, during which the preparations underway to conduct the general population and housing census next November were discussed and followed up." Al-
Sabah newspaper focused on the denial by the Presidency of the House of Representatives, yesterday, Monday, of any increase in the salaries of the members of the House.
A statement from the Parliament's Media Department stated that "the Presidency of the House of Representatives confirms that there is no increase in the salaries of the members of the House, and that they remained as they were before."
The statement added that "the House of Representatives always works transparently and within the specified legal frameworks, and we categorically reject any accusations or questioning of the credibility of the House or its commitment to official laws and decisions, and that the House reserves the right to take legal action against those who have harmed the reputation of the parliamentary institution and its members and misled public opinion."
According to the statement, the House of Representatives called on "all media outlets to exercise accuracy and objectivity in transmitting news and information in order to maintain their credibility before citizens.
