[rtl]Baghdad / NINA / Minister of Finance, Taif Sami, signed today, Tuesday, with the Austrian Ambassador to Iraq, Andrea Nasi, a financing agreement to equip irrigation systems for the Ministry of Agriculture.
Minister of Finance, Taif Sami, said during the signing of the loan agreement to finance the project to equip pivot irrigation systems for the Ministry of Agriculture with the Austrian Ambassador to Iraq, Andrea Nasi: "We have completed the procedures for signing the contract that will serve the Ministry of Agriculture to equip pivot irrigation systems."
She added, "The agreement between the Republic of Iraq and the Republic of Austria includes a loan included in the budget law for the year 2023, with a total value of (278,669,800) euros."
In turn, Austrian Ambassador Andrea Nasi indicated that: "Signing the loan agreement to equip pivot irrigation systems with the Austrian company Bor on behalf of the Austrian government reflects the joint cooperation between our friends, and with the support of Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani," stressing that "Austria is committed to cooperating with Iraq, and looks forward to further partnership."
For his part, the director of Bor Company in Iraq, Delsher Ezz El-Din Rasoul, said: "The loan is estimated at about 300 million dollars," expressing his "thanks to Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani for his direct contribution to completing the loan, and he also appreciated the efforts of the Minister of Agriculture in supporting the loan and facilitating the procedures, and thanked the Minister of Finance for her urgency in completing the procedures."
He added, "The contract includes providing 5,000 sprinklers to be distributed to all Iraqi governorates within 18 months, according to the schedule submitted by the Ministry of Agriculture," indicating that "there are two types of sprinklers: the first type covers 60 dunams per sprinkler, and the other type covers 80 dunams." / End 2[/rtl]
