    Information / Diyala
Today, Friday, the mayor of Mandali district, Mazen Akram, confirmed that commercial activity at the Mandali border crossing increased by 10% during the current year.
Akram told Al-Maalouma Agency, "The security stability and the proximity of the crossing to the markets of the capital, Baghdad, and other governorates, contributed to increasing the level of trade exchange during the past months."
He pointed out that "the increase in the activity of the crossing has led to the revival of many liberal professions, and the provision of job opportunities, which has helped reduce unemployment and poverty rates in the eastern Diyala regions."
He explained that "the more activity the crossing increases, the more opportunities it will provide and help in the level of economic recovery. He called for granting a share of the crossing's revenues to the cities of Mandali, Qazaniya and the rest of the nearby towns to support the level of services, especially by developing the road system and other basic services."
It is noteworthy that the Mandali border crossing is the second largest border crossing within the borders of Diyala Governorate, and is designated for commercial exchange only. End 25 F
