Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, today, Sunday, September 29, 2024, in a phone call with Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati, offered the condolences of Iraq, government and people, for the martyrdom of the Secretary-General of the Lebanese Hezbollah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, and his companions, during the sinful Zionist aggression that targeted Beirut.
According to a statement by the Prime Minister's media office received by "Baghdad Today", the Prime Minister renewed during the call Iraq's firm and principled position in supporting Lebanon and standing with it, and Iraq's continued provision of all the assistance needed by the brotherly Lebanese people, stressing the need to coordinate Arab and Islamic efforts in order to stop the ongoing Zionist attacks that threaten the security and stability of the region.
