Al-Sudani stresses the full readiness of the security and intelligence forces

Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, stressed the full readiness of all security and intelligence branches, and the need for high-level and professional coordination between the intelligence agencies and services of various security formations, while stressing the expansion of economic cooperation between Iraq and Egypt, indicating that the investment opportunities offered and received from foreign companies exceeded $100 billion.
A statement from his office, received by Al-Sabah, stated that "the Prime Minister chaired a meeting of the National Intelligence Council yesterday, Monday, during which a number of issues were discussed on the security and intelligence levels."
The meeting witnessed, according to the statement, a review of the performance of the security and intelligence services and their level of readiness in implementing their plans and duties in the operational sectors, and the proactive measures that must be taken to confront potential risks that could threaten the country's security and the safety of its territories.
The statement explained that "the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces stressed the full readiness of all security and intelligence branches, and directed the need for high-level and professional coordination between the intelligence agencies and services of the various security formations, and to work on providing all the necessary requirements for the success of security and intelligence plans in pursuing terrorist remnants and organized crime gangs.
In addition, Al-Sudani held a meeting with the Chairman of the Egyptian Al-Suwaidi Group of Companies, Ahmed Al-Suwaidi, and a group of directors of Egyptian industrial and commercial companies, in the presence of a number of advisors to the Prime Minister."
According to the statement, Al-Sudani pointed to "the expansion of economic cooperation between Iraq and Egypt, especially in partnerships with the Egyptian private sector," stressing that "the investment opportunities offered in Iraq, which were received from Arab and foreign companies, exceeded $100 billion, and they reveal the breadth of economic growth at all levels and fields."
The statement added that "the Prime Minister discussed with the Egyptian delegation the study of the economic and financial model of the group in work, and cooperation in the sectors of industry, education, energy, and infrastructure, in addition to discussing investment opportunities and partnerships in the sector of maximizing petroleum resources, localizing the electrical transformer industry, smart meters that are linked to the electrical grid, and the iron and carbon steel industry."
The statement explained that "an agreement was reached on a study to establish industrial cities in Baghdad, as the group presented a map of projects that will be studied by the advisory board and sectoral bodies."
