The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs is moving towards transferring beneficiaries of the protection network to the Social Security Law by encouraging them to enter projects in the labor market and include them in approved lending programs.
The ministry's spokesman, Najm Al-Aqabi, said in a statement to "Al-Sabah": His ministry is moving towards adopting a new electronic system that is compatible with amending the Loans Law and the amount of money granted to borrowers according to their projects, to enable beneficiaries to complete the legal procedures for their transactions accurately, and according to the population ratios of the unemployed in the governorates registered in the ministry's database in (the electronic professions platform).
He revealed that there is a trend by the ministry to transfer beneficiaries of social protection to the Social Security Law by encouraging them to enter projects in the labor market and include them in the lending programs it adopts through the (Arzaq) application, as a large number of loan beneficiaries have been included to establish private projects.
Al-Aqabi explained that the ministry’s goal is to employ tens of thousands of young people by granting them soft loans to contribute to reducing the phenomenon of unemployment, in addition to encouraging entrepreneurial projects with economic feasibility that benefit their owners, revealing that invitations have been sent to companies and investment projects operating in the oil, security, media and communications sectors to benefit from the ministry’s database of the unemployed and register in the digital security system in preparation for the digital transformation in the field of services provided to those sectors.
