Accreditation of specialized graduates to support quality control

Kirkuk University called for the accreditation of graduates of its specialized departments and their appointment in food industry laboratories and hospitals, in addition to inspection units in quality control to monitor the quality of imported foods, with the aim of preserving consumer health according to the applicable international standards.
The head of the Food Sciences Department at the College of Medicinal and Industrial Plants affiliated to the university, Dr. Sara Ahmed, said in a statement to “Al-Sabah”: Her department, which was recently opened in the college, aims to prepare national cadres capable of managing production and developing food with a high degree of quality according to modern scientific methods to preserve the general health of the individual, calling for the inclusion of graduates of her department in the committees sent by the Ministry of Health to laboratories and restaurants.
It is noteworthy that the aforementioned department provides services in the fields of consulting on food industries in the governmental and private sectors, as it is internationally accredited in scientific research.
