    [size=45]The head of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Masoud Barzani, confirmed that his party has formed a team to negotiate with other parties regarding the formation of the tenth government and determining its agenda, noting that the party does not have a “veto” on any party.[/size]
    [size=45]This came during Barzani's reception of the US Ambassador to Iraq, Alina Romanowski, at the Salah al-Din resort in Erbil, in the presence of Steve Bittner, the US Consul General in Erbil, according to a statement.[/size]
    [size=45]According to the statement, the US Ambassador congratulated President Barzani on the success of the Kurdistan Parliament elections held on October 20, stressing that holding the Kurdistan Parliament elections in a democratic and peaceful atmosphere, in light of the tensions the region is experiencing, reflects the bright image of the Kurdistan Region to everyone.[/size]
    [size=45]For his part, President Barzani expressed his thanks to the international community and the Independent High Electoral Commission for their prominent role in the success of the Kurdistan Parliament elections, despite the presence of a number of technical problems that occurred during the process.[/size]
    [size=45]In another aspect of the meeting, discussions were held on the steps to form the new government in the region and the negotiations between the political parties. Barzani indicated that the Kurdistan Democratic Party had formed a team to negotiate with the other parties on the formation of the next government and determining its agenda, and he stressed that the Kurdistan Democratic Party does not have a “veto” on any party.[/size]
    [size=45]The meeting highlighted the political and security situation in the region, and the latest developments in the Middle East. Visions and viewpoints were exchanged on the political process in Iraq and the election of a new speaker of the Iraqi Parliament.[/size]
    [size=45]The US Ambassador met with the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, and the discussions focused on the procedures and preparations related to forming the new ministerial cabinet of the Kurdistan Regional Government.[/size]
    [size=45]During the meeting, there was agreement on the importance of understanding between the political parties to expedite the new government, enabling it to continue its work and implement its service projects that meet the needs of all citizens and components of the Kurdistan Region.[/size]
    [size=45]Masrour Barzani stressed the importance of the formation of the government being based on the votes of the participating political parties and their electoral entitlement, and that it be a comprehensive, strong and unified government.[/size]
