[rtl]Baghdad / NINA / The Iraqi Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, in cooperation with the International Labor Organization, launched today, Tuesday, the major national campaign to raise awareness of the Social Security Law for Workers No. (18) of 2023, which was approved by the Council of Representatives and published in the Iraqi Gazette.

Undersecretary of the Ministry of Labor Khaled Amjad Al-Sayegh said, during the launch ceremony of the major national campaign to raise awareness of the law, that "the Retirement and Social Security Law No. 18 of 2023 represents a major turning point towards protecting a wide segment of our society, and is not limited to providing financial support only, but rather establishes a comprehensive concept of social security that includes various categories, as well as enhancing family stability and guaranteeing the rights of future generations."

He added, "Today we start a new journey together, a campaign aimed at conveying the message of this law to every individual in society, a campaign that highlights the importance of registering in social security programs, and the necessity of every citizen investing in his future and the future of his family."

Al-Sayegh stressed that "the media plays a pivotal role in this campaign, and we see it as a key partner in educating citizens about the advantages and dimensions of this law. Direct communication, clear media messages, and partnership with civil society institutions are all means to achieve our goals in delivering the message and spreading awareness."

The activities of the national campaign launch ceremony reviewed the objectives of the law and its importance in providing social protection for workers. / End 5
