The Health Insurance Authority has introduced new services for subscribers.
The Director General of the Health Insurance Fund, Dr. Ali Ahmed Obaid, explained to Al-Sabah that "the Authority decided to include dental services within the health insurance, and grant every citizen the right to visit the institutions that the Authority has contracted with for an amount of (125) thousand dinars annually, in which the health insured receives dental health services as they are expensive." He explained that "there are three categories of subscribers, which are the categories of employees on a mandatory basis, those covered by social care and retirees, and citizens on an optional basis. As for the category of employees, it is specified by law from the tenth to the fifth grade, the subscription fee is (10) thousand dinars, and from the fourth to the second grade (25) thousand dinars, while the employees of the first and special grades, the subscription is (50) thousand dinars, and is paid once."
