Member of Parliament, Mohammed Nouri, confirmed today, Tuesday, that the election of Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani as Speaker of Parliament will not affect the completion of legislation of laws within Parliament.
Al-Nouri said in an interview with Al-Maalouma Agency that "there is almost a complete agreement to pass the Personal Status and Real Estate Law," noting that "the elections for the presidency of the parliament will not affect the administration and work of the council in the field of legislation of laws."
He added that "Al-Mandlawi followed a policy of balance and equality in managing the House of Representatives in all legislation that serves the public interest through the readings, decisions and draft laws that were presented in addition to the laws that were voted on."
He explained that "the election of Al-Mashhadani came to fill the gap in the Sunni component's entitlements as a real entitlement to the presidency of the House of Representatives."
He pointed out that "the House of Representatives will proceed as it did in the previous period to complete the voting on the laws with the presence of the presidency and fill the void in the presidency," indicating that "the election of a new Speaker of the House of Representatives came to create an actual and real balance and not to hide any party that has entitlement."
He added, "The volume of political consensus will increase more than it is at the present time, especially after the completion of the presidency and its representatives to reach important conclusions and realistic implementation for the categories so that there will be real legislation aimed at serving the interests of the citizen."
