An informed source confirmed on Tuesday that the Harir base had suddenly imposed a state of maximum alert.
The source said in an interview with Al-Maalouma, "The Harir base near Erbil, where American forces are deployed, entered a state of maximum alert after 3 a.m. today, suddenly."
He added, "All the main gates of the military base were closed, and guards were deployed on the main towers, in addition to intensive drone flights, without knowing the reasons."
He pointed out that "calm prevails over the base amidst a state of paralysis of movement as if it is facing a direct danger, noting that "such a state of alert comes perhaps because it expects an attack targeting the base, ruling out that these measures are a training exercise."
It is noteworthy that Al-Hareer is the second most important base where American forces are deployed in Iraq, and it includes heavy military equipment in addition to airstrips. End 25 F
