Baghdad/Al-Masala: Amidst the clouds of corruption that hover over the skies of Iraq, and the atmosphere of escalation, the voice of the supreme authority, Sayyid Ali al-Sistani, emerges like a light illuminating the path, calling for a courageous war against corruption, mismanagement, and the confinement of weapons to the state, to begin a new chapter of the rule of law and saving the country from the grip of foreign interventions and sterile quotas.
Between the words of His Eminence the Grand Ayatollah and his emphasis on the need to review the political system in Iraq, a profound vision emerges that requires everyone to realize its dimensions and move from there toward change.
Iraq, with its long history and recent wounds, stands at a critical crossroads.
The statement of Sayyid al-Sistani, which came during his meeting with the UN representative, was not just words thrown into the air, but rather a serious reform call.

Corruption, which has eaten away at the body of Iraqi institutions for decades, has become a malignant tumor that requires a real reform war to uproot it.
The call was not just an intellectual luxury or a passing moral appeal, but rather came from a reference who enjoys absolute credibility and the trust of all segments of the people, which makes his recommendations a roadmap that must be followed without hesitation.

History has proven that the countries that rise from their ordeals are those that arm themselves with the courage to reform and avoid the path of quotas, political favoritism, and beautifying failure.
Iraqi political forces must deal with Mr. Sistani’s recommendations as a binding roadmap that opens the door to a new future.
