The e-Governance Advisory Team proposed the establishment of a government body specialized in digital transformation.
Team member Mohammed Ismat told Al-Sabah that "Iraq is not immune to the global digital transformation that is currently taking place, especially since technical and electronic development is no longer optional, but rather necessary at all levels.
" Ismat added that "Iraq needs basic steps to activate the issue of digital transformation, starting with developing a comprehensive strategy, in addition to implementing laws that work on the issue of e-governance," noting that "these steps require investing huge real and realistic budgets to achieve the goal."
He explained that "Iraq needs more work in writing a strategic framework for digital transformation," calling for there to be a government body specialized in digital transformation, similar to neighboring countries that have worked to develop the transformation and establish a special body or center specialized in this."
