[rtl]Basra / NINA / The head of the Parliamentary Transport and Communications Committee, Representative Zahra Al-Bajari, stressed that "the Grand Faw Port project is a symbol of national determination and Iraq's future aspirations and an opportunity to do justice to graduates of maritime specialties from the Maritime Academy and Marine Sciences and the Ports Institute.
She said during her participation today in the handover ceremony of the five berths at the Grand Faw Port, "This project goes beyond being a mere economic facility; It represents a symbol of determination and insistence towards achieving the aspirations of the Iraqi people for a prosperous future.
She expressed her hope that the logistical work and supporting infrastructure for the berths will be completed, to enable the port to start its operations as soon as possible.
Al-Bajari pointed to the ongoing efforts to complete the submerged tunnel and the road leading to the port, in addition to deepening the waterways and establishing a welcome yard to receive ships.
She called for accelerating the pace of work to complete these projects according to a specific timetable, in preparation for the official announcement of the opening of the port, which is a new gateway for Iraq towards international trade, and enhances its position as a regional strategic hub. / End [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.][/rtl]
