[rtl]Basra / NINA / A dialogue seminar held in Basra Governorate recommended reducing torture and mechanisms to support fair trial procedures, and enhancing the file of advanced training for officers and members of the security forces from the investigative branches.
The Director of the Human Rights Office in Basra, Mahdi Al-Tamimi, told the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / "The dialogue session between the Office of the High Commission for Human Rights in Basra and the Popular Aid Organization, in order to advance the reality of human rights, was held in the presence of MP Faleh Al-Khazaali, Advisor to the Prime Minister Dr. Zaidan Al-Atwani, a number of members of the provincial council, directors of community police and family protection, the Assistant Director of the Anti-Narcotics Directorate, lawyers, organizations and activists, and discussed the file of combating torture and fair trial mechanisms, and other forms of cruel or inhuman treatment or punishment.
