{Local: Al Furat News} Travelers called on the Central Bank of Iraq and the Parliamentary Finance Committee to intervene to cancel the electronic reservation and electronic form by government banks in the process of selling the dollar.
They also demanded in an appeal via {Euphrates News} that "the process of selling dollars to them be direct, similar to what exchange companies do."
The travelers also called for opening branches of government banks to sell dollars at the airports of Najaf, Basra, Kirkuk, Sulaymaniyah and Erbil.
It is noteworthy that government banks continue to sell dollars to travelers at the official rate {1320 dinars per dollar} by depositing the dinar in the designated branches that were previously identified and receiving the dollars at the bank's outlet at Baghdad International Airport exclusively.
