    [size=45]Member of the Parliamentary Legal Committee, Raed Al-Maliki, confirmed that what is known as the “theft of the century” would not have occurred without the facilitation provided by influential parties in power.[/size]
    [size=45]Al-Maliki said, “The issue of stealing tax deposits is a major crime, and this crime would not have happened without the facilitations provided by influential parties in power,” accusing “the previous government of turning a blind eye.”[/size]
    [size=45]He added, "If the previous government was not involved, then there was participation by parties close to the former prime minister, and perhaps with the knowledge of the former prime minister, they participated in that crime."[/size]
    [size=45]The member of the House of Representatives pointed out that “the amount of money that was seized is not small,” indicating that “there is a former minister accused of theft, so we call on the judiciary to expand its investigations into the matter and to pursue those who stand behind Nour Zuhair and those who participated or cooperated with him.”[/size]
    [size=45]He continued, saying: “We are determined to hold accountable those who were negligent in this process,” noting that “the House of Representatives and the judiciary have intensified their interest, follow-up and focus on the issue.”[/size]
    [size=45]Earlier, independent MP Mustafa Sand said in a televised interview that “the office of former Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi was a place of corruption and theft,” indicating that “Al-Kadhimi called on Raed Juhi and Nour Zuhair to steal the century equally and not expose the matter.”[/size]
    [size=45]He added, "497 billion dinars was a bribe for Raed Juhi from stealing tax deposits," noting that "former Finance Minister Abdul Amir Allawi asked Nour Zuhair for $130 million as his share of the theft of tax deposits."
    He pointed out that "Al-Kadhimi's experience is very bad and shameful," adding that "Nour Zuhair's real estate is worth $300 million, and most of his properties are in his name and his wife's name."[/size]
    [size=45]Sand said that “the amount of money recovered from Nour Zuhair reached 400 billion, not counting real estate,” noting that “there are 7 companies accused of stealing tax deposits.”[/size]
    [size=45]He explained that "Ahmed Najati was the godfather of the theft of the century," noting that "Al-Kazemi used to meet with the gang and complain about the problems between the thieves."[/size]
    [size=45]Sand continued, saying, “Raed Juhi was threatening Abu Al-Dharibah Osama with exiling him behind the sun,” stressing that “Nour Zuhair’s deep state was the state itself.”[/size]
    [size=45]He added, "Nour Zuhair receives 99 billion as customs deposits," adding, "Nour Zuhair is stronger than me and stronger than the entire state and is a deep state."[/size]
