    [size=45]Member of the Parliamentary Legal Committee, Aref Al-Hamami, confirmed that there are 10 interpellations that have taken their procedural course in the House of Representatives.
    Al-Hamami said that “Parliament is the highest legislative and oversight body in the country and is concerned with many files, including correcting the course of work in state institutions and ministries through interpellation and hosting, leading to dismissal if all the points that give the green light to proceed with this option are available.”
    He added that “there are 10 interpellations that have taken their procedural course in the House of Representatives at the present time and have been activated by the Speaker of the House of Representatives and will be approved according to the paths with the upcoming sessions of the House of Representatives,” stressing that “there are no obstacles to interpellating any official or minister.”
    Al-Hamami explained that “the interpellation includes questions that require objective answers,” noting that “the role of the House of Representatives is not absent and it seeks to support the paths of government work in a way that enables it to carry out its duties according to the tasks assigned to it.”
    On November 19, 2024, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani, directed the preparation of reports on the performance of ministers, governors and heads of bodies, in order to activate the oversight role of the House of Representatives during the coming period, calling for giving the issue utmost importance and harnessing all the tools of the House of Representatives to the Parliamentary Integrity Committee for the purpose of achieving the tasks assigned to it and seeking the assistance of the supporting oversight bodies, including the Federal Integrity Commission and the Federal Financial Supervision Bureau, to provide all the information required in this regard.[/size]
