[rtl]Basra / NINA / The delegation of the Ministry of Electricity discussed with the Gulf Interconnection Authority the requirements of the new interconnection line project between Iraq and Kuwait.
The media of the transmission of electrical energy in the southern region stated in a statement today, Saturday: "A joint meeting was held in Kuwait between the delegation of the Iraqi Ministry of Electricity headed by the Director General of the General Company for the Transmission of Southern Electricity, Eng. Ali Zuhair Karim, and the Deputy CEO of the Gulf Cooperation Council Interconnection Authority, Muhammad Al-Sheikh, and members of the Gulf Interconnection Authority, to discuss facilitating the requirements and overcoming obstacles to complete the Gulf Interconnection Line Project (Wafra - Faw 400 kV)."
He added: "During the meeting, which was attended by representatives of the Indian company Kulpataro, which is implementing the part related to the Iraqi side, the stages of work in the aforementioned project were reviewed, starting from inside Kuwait to the Faw area in southern Iraq, in addition to discussing the obstacles and finding appropriate solutions for them. The two sides also discussed facilitating the requirements of the project and ways to accelerate its completion and put it into operation as soon as possible." / End
