    Information / Anbar ..
A member of the Anbar Alliance, Ahmed al-Dulaimi, revealed on Saturday that the head of the Progress Alliance, Mohammed al-Halbousi, instructed his representatives to withdraw from the voting session on approving the Personal Status Law for political reasons.
Al-Dulaimi said in a statement to Al-Maalouma Agency, "The head of the Progress Alliance, Mohammed al-Halbousi, instructed his representatives to obstruct the voting session on approving the Personal Status Law for political motives intended to win the favor of the Sunni component after overthrowing his political future following his dismissal from the presidency of parliament."
He added, "Al-Halbousi instructed his representatives to withdraw from the voting session on approving the Personal Status Law and not to agree to pass it and put obstacles in the way of its approval unless the general amnesty law is voted on."
He explained that "Al-Halbousi links approval of the Personal Status Law to approval of the General Amnesty Law in a step aimed at winning over the Sunni component."
He explained that "the obstruction of the approval of the Personal Status Law by the Progress Alliance carries electoral motives to achieve a political accomplishment," stressing that "most political parties and alliances have expressed their approval of the approval of the Personal Status Law, with the exception of the Progress Alliance."
