    Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani discussed, today, Sunday (December 1, 2024), with King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein of Jordan, the situation in the region, especially the recent events in Syria.
    The Prime Minister's Media Office said in a statement received by "Baghdad Today" that "Al-Sudani made a phone call today, Sunday, to the King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein," indicating that "the latest developments in the region were discussed, especially the events in Syria, and the continued Zionist aggression against our people in Gaza."
    According to the statement, Al-Sudani stressed during the call, "the necessity of coordinating efforts and Iraq's support for joint Arab and international action to confront challenges," stressing that security and stability in Syria represent an importance that cannot be neglected, not only for Iraq but for all countries in the region."
     The Prime Minister pointed out the "necessity of working to stop the Zionist aggression and the war of genocide that our steadfast Palestinian people are facing."
