    President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, stressed today, Sunday (December 1, 2024), the importance of supporting the efforts of the security and intelligence services and enhancing confidence in them in a way that ensures citizens’ cooperation with them.
    The media department of the Presidency of the Republic stated in a statement received by "Baghdad Today" that "the President of the Republic received the National Security Advisor, Qasim Al-Araji, at the Baghdad Palace, and discussed with him the security situation on the internal and regional arenas, where Rashid stressed supporting the efforts of the security and intelligence services and strengthening confidence in them in a way that ensures the cooperation of citizens with them."
    The President of the Republic explained, according to the statement, that "the developments in Syria and their repercussions on the region as a whole are of great interest," stressing "confidence in the level of preparedness," noting "the importance of the international community assuming its responsibilities in supporting the stability of the region and sparing it more wars, killing and destruction."
    For his part, Al-Araji confirmed to the President of the Republic "the National Security Advisory's full readiness to carry out its duties to the fullest extent possible, in a manner that preserves the security of Iraq and the lives of its citizens."
