[rtl]Baghdad / NINA / The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, stressed today, Sunday, the importance of the international community assuming its responsibilities in supporting the stability of the region and sparing it more wars, killing and destruction.
A statement issued by the media department of the Presidency of the Republic stated that "the President of the Republic received at the Baghdad Palace, National Security Adviser Qasim Al-Araji."
The statement added that "during the meeting, the security situations on the internal and regional arenas were discussed, as the President stressed supporting the efforts of the security and intelligence services and enhancing confidence in them in a way that ensures citizens' cooperation with them."
The President of the Republic explained that "the developments of events in Syria and their repercussions on the region as a whole are of great interest," stressing "confidence in the level of preparedness,"
and stressed "the importance of the international community assuming its responsibilities in supporting the stability of the region and sparing it more wars, killing and destruction."
For his part, Al-Araji confirmed to the President of the Republic "the full readiness of the National Security Advisory to carry out its duties to the fullest extent and in a way that preserves the security of Iraq and the lives of its citizens." / End2 [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.][/rtl]
