The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs indicated that some detailed instructions related to the new social security law for workers have not yet been issued by the State Shura Council.
The Director of the Media, Arab and International Relations Department at the Ministry, Kazem Al-Atwani, said in a statement to Al-Sabah: Since the launch of the awareness campaign for the Social Security Law on November 5 by his ministry and the International Labor Organization, the ministry has witnessed a noticeable increase in the registration of workers to benefit from its provisions, whether from the categories that were previously guaranteed or the new categories.
He indicated that some detailed instructions related to the law have not yet been issued by the State Shura Council, without stating the reasons. Despite this, the concerned authorities continue their efforts to clarify the general provisions and support workers in understanding their rights and registration mechanisms, which enhances their confidence in the effective implementation of the law.
