    Mawazine News - Baghdad 
    The Ministry of Trade announced the launch of the ration card automation project in Wasit Governorate, as a trial phase in preparation for its implementation in other Iraqi governorates, with the aim of completely updating the system and providing faster and more efficient services to citizens.


    The official spokesman for the ministry, Mohammed Hanoun, stated in a statement received by "Mawazine News" that the new project began in Wasit with detailed statistics including updating the data of 144,647 individuals and 266,073 families. The unified card was approved to facilitate the self-update process through a special application that citizens can download and use from home without the need to visit government departments.


    Hanoun explained that the application allows citizens to perform the following operations easily:
     • Update data.
     • Add or delete individuals.
     • Remove or block the card.
    The user is required to enter four basic determinants:


     1. The ration card number.
     2. The ration center number.
     3. The food agent agency number.
     4. The flour agent agency number.


    After entering the data, a special account is created, and the user is sent a username and password via a text message, allowing the update to start easily.


    Advanced electronic services


    The statement indicated that the application enables supply agents to receive accurate lists of materials and the quantity due to each citizen, which facilitates the distribution process. The application also provides paid electronic services, such as adding a new child or updating family members, via electronic payment.


    The ministry reassured citizens that the project will address many of the problems faced by the traditional system, such as delays and complex procedures, and will contribute to:
     • Accelerating data updating.
     • Reducing cumbersome reviews.
     • Enhancing transparency and preserving public money using advanced technologies.


    Hanoun concluded by saying that "the Ministry of Commerce is working to overcome all obstacles to provide a smooth and comfortable experience for all citizens, with future plans to expand the project to include the rest of the governorates soon."

    A statement by the official spokesman for the Ministry of Trade, Muhammad Hanoun, stated that the launch of the new ration card project in Wasit Governorate, where the statistics reached this evening, Sunday, in the governorate, the number of updated individuals 144647, the number of updated families 266073, where the unified card was approved to facilitate the self-update process without the need to go to any government department, and the citizen can now add, delete, and update the ration card information with ease through the application directly from home. Citizens can also download the ration card application and register in it easily and quickly, as all obstacles have been removed to provide a comfortable and smooth experience for everyone.

    After that, a registration application is launched to update citizens' data for the ration card, as the program requests four determinants:
    ration card number
    , ration center number,
    agency number for the food agent, and
    agency number for the flour agent.

    The citizen logs in to create his own account, then a message is sent to the citizen's phone number including the username and password, and then the update begins from the same system.

    He pointed out that "the Citizen application may contribute to sending lists of the number of individuals and families to the agent's phone number and the quantity and type of materials that the citizen will receive for the purpose of delivering them to the citizen. Also, through this program, the citizen submits his transactions from his home without the need to review the supply branch departments. These services are paid for electronically, such as: adding a child, adding an individual, adding a family, deleting, blocking, or unblocking."

    The statement reassured citizens that this project will contribute greatly to addressing the obstacles and problems facing the ration card and put an end to citizens' suffering as a result of reviews and delays in deletion and addition procedures and dealing with other citizens' needs, in addition to the fact that it contributes to preserving public money through modern and advanced technologies. / End 8 [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.][/rtl]
