President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, affirmed today, Monday (December 2, 2024), Iraq's keenness on security and peace in Syria, and its readiness to provide the necessary support to preserve the stability of the region, during his reception at the Baghdad Palace, the Ambassador of the Syrian Arab Republic to Iraq, Sattam Jadaan Al-Dandah.
The media department of the presidency of the republic stated in a statement received by "Baghdad Today" that " the President of the Republic received the Syrian Ambassador to Iraq at the Baghdad Palace, and reviewed with him the developments of the security situation in Syria."
According to the statement, the President of the Republic stressed "Iraq's support for establishing stability and working to prevent the expansion of the circle of conflict."
He added that "the developments in Syria and their repercussions on the region as a whole are of great interest," stressing "Iraq's steadfast work to enhance international peace and security."
The statement explained that "Ambassador Al-Dandah briefed the President of the Republic on the latest developments in the Syrian arena," praising "Iraq's supportive and supportive positions towards Syria."
