    [rtl]The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) stressed the importance of the historic agreement hosted by the Austrian capital eight years ago, which launched the OPEC Plus alliance.[/rtl]
    [rtl]This came in a statement issued by the General Secretariat of the Organization on the eighth anniversary of the agreement signed in Vienna on November 30, 2016, in which it indicated that this historic agreement was based on the Algiers Agreement adopted at the 170th (extraordinary) meeting of the OPEC Conference on September 28, 2016, and was a prelude to the adoption of the (Declaration of Cooperation) between OPEC countries and a number of non-member oil-producing countries, and it became known as “OPEC Plus.”[/rtl]

    [rtl]On this occasion, OPEC Secretary General Haitham Al-Ghais said, "The Vienna Agreement is a turning point in the history of the oil industry, as its adoption paved the way for the establishment of a multilateral platform for cooperation and dialogue between oil producers with the aim of supporting the stability of the global market," according to the Kuwait News Agency.[/rtl]
    [rtl]“Eight years later, these efforts continue to prove their effectiveness and value, helping us overcome many market fluctuations, including the downturn caused by the COVID-19 pandemic,” Al Ghais added.[/rtl]
     
     
    [rtl]The Declaration of Cooperation seeks to support market stability for the benefit of all stakeholders in the industry, including producers and investors, as well as the global economy in general. These efforts also support the organization's views on the importance of multilateralism, international cooperation and dialogue.[/rtl]
