The Iraqi Council of Representatives is holding a session today, Tuesday, to vote on the laws on returning real estate to its owners, general amnesty, and personal status.
The Council of Representatives held a session yesterday with the attendance of one hundred and ninety-three representatives, and it was scheduled to vote on the three laws, but due to disagreements between the parliamentary blocs on the laws, the session was adjourned for half an hour for consultation, and due to the lack of agreement and the breach of quorum, it was postponed until Tuesday.
The parliament had failed in more than one session to pass the three draft laws, as the first and second readings of the draft law on returning real estate to its owners that was confiscated by virtue of the decisions of the dissolved Revolutionary Command Council were held, and all that remained was to vote on it.
The same applies to the draft laws on personal status and general amnesty, the first and second readings of which were held, but the lack of consensus prevented voting on them.
