    Baghdad Today - Baghdad 
    A source close to the Iraqi factions reported today, Tuesday (December 3, 2024), that decisions described as "important" will be issued soon, while indicating that these decisions will be clear and fixed.
    The source said in an interview with "Baghdad Today", "The Coordination of Iraqi Factions held an expanded meeting to discuss the developments of the current stage after the events in Syria and the emergence of the role of extremist organizations with American support and sponsorship and its allies in order to continue on the page of tearing this country apart and turning it into a ball of fire, among which Iraq will be its next targets."
    He added, "The factions approved a number of important decisions that will be announced soon to their audience, stressing that "the coordination deals with the facts objectively and responsibly and adopts what secures the country and deters the agenda of the West and Zionism together."
    The source pointed out that "the factions' decisions will be clear and firm and will not hide anything," stressing that "much of what is being conveyed on social media platforms, especially Arab and Western ones, is inaccurate and the factions are well aware of the seriousness of the situation and that they will not be lenient in any decision that serves their main goals."
    Security expert Ahmed Brisam confirmed on Sunday (December 1, 2024) that three reasons will push the Iraqi factions to mobilize in Syria, while he indicated that the Popular Mobilization Forces will not engage in that war as it is an official security system.
    Brisam told Baghdad Today, "What is happening in Syria represents a real security collapse that has led to the control of the most dangerous organizations on the international terrorism list, to control the second largest Syrian city, Aleppo, and the repercussions of what is happening are dangerous for the region, especially neighboring countries."
    He added, "Apart from the reasons for the withdrawal of Syrian forces from cities and towns, the amount of armament held by the organizations indicates that behind them is the will of several countries that want to change the course of events in Syria by seeking help from organizations that are no less extremist than Al-Qaeda and ISIS."
    He pointed out that "the Popular Mobilization Forces will not engage in the Syrian war, as it is an official security system affiliated with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and implements what the leadership sees directly, but the factions' situation is different and they will rush forcefully to the Syrian front if the holy religious shrines are touched and the people of a certain component are subjected to genocide or if they approach the Iraqi border."
    He continued, "The Iraqi factions are present in Syria and have actual headquarters, but so far they have not entered into any direct confrontation, but the presence of extremist organizations will accelerate their involvement, especially since what is happening is not just the fall of a city, but a state and its fragmentation, and all the fears of the factions will be present in front of organizations that announce, through what they publish, worrying positions in terms of extremism and killing those who disagree with them."
