    Iranian expert in international affairs, Mohammad Jal Afrouz, said on Monday (December 2, 2024) that Iraq and Iran will not be safe and secure if terrorists in Syria succeed in achieving their goals, indicating that some regional powers are seeking to put the final touches on the "new Middle East that America wants."
    Afroz said in an interview with Baghdad Today, "The policies that the countries of the region are being challenged with in one way or another are the general routine of thinking about the Middle East that America has been working on since the Clinton era to change the course of its old policies in the Middle East and create a new type of policies."
    He added: "Recently, these countries have been seeking to make this Middle East their political issue so that they can create their economic, military and cultural policies in the region and attract countries towards them."
    When asked about what is happening in northern Syria and its repercussions on Iraq and the region, Afroz said, "If the terrorists succeed in Syria, they will also reach Iran and Iraq, and the two countries must prepare for confrontation."
    The Iranian expert in international affairs pointed out that "this conspiracy that was prepared in advance for Syria has started again, and Israel, with the help of Türkiye and America, are the ones who carried out the conspiracy."
    Middle East Explosion
    For his part, Issam Shaker, a leader in the Coordination Framework, confirmed today, Monday (December 2, 2024), that tampering with the holy shrines will lead to igniting a major strife whose flames will extend to international capitals, warning that failure to contain the events in Syria will lead to a comprehensive explosion in the Middle East .
    Shaker told Baghdad Today, "The events in Syria are the result of the collusion of the capitals of many countries in tearing this country apart, through direct reliance on organizations classified as terrorist on the international list, in a paradox that confirms that this card is nothing but another tool for chaos and achieving more gains at the expense of the blood of innocents ."
    He added, "If the events in Syria are not contained, it will lead to a major explosion in the Middle East, stressing that tampering with the holy shrines will lead to a major sedition that will not stop at certain borders, and its flames will reach all the capitals involved in igniting it ."
    He pointed out that "the Syrian events should be a lesson to all Iraqi forces, that security is a red line, and that any interaction far from the interests of the homeland will create major crises," stressing "the importance of positively dealing with security by immediately reporting any suspicious cases, strengthening the internal front, and not giving room to any discordant voices trying to fish in troubled waters ."
    Shaker continued, "What is happening in Syria is a terrorist page, and there are no real opposition forces there, but rather organizations led by the ideas of Al-Baghdadi and Al-Zarqawi, and this is the truth that well-known Arab media outlets are working to obscure for purposes and agendas that are exposed to public opinion ."
    Recently, fears have been growing that the Syrian conflict will spread and impact the entire region, especially with the threat to sacred religious sites that are considered red lines, which portends disastrous consequences . 
    These warnings come amid regional and international attempts to control the situation, but the ongoing interventions and agendas of some powers make it difficult to reach solutions that end the state of chaos.
