    Economy News - Baghdad
[rtl]Three officials at the Shuaiba refinery in the Iraqi city of Basra said that authorities halted all operations at the facility on Saturday after fuel oil tanks filled beyond capacity.[/rtl]
[rtl]Work at the refinery has stopped after no ships arrived at Khor Al Zubair port to load fuel oil since the middle of last week.[/rtl]
[rtl]The officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said a buildup of fuel oil at the refinery had led to the suspension of operations.[/rtl]

[rtl]"The resumption of operations depends on the arrival of ships to load the produced fuel, the accumulation of which causes the tanks to fill up, and these operations are under the management of the Oil Marketing Company - SOMO," said an official with direct knowledge of the refinery's operations.[/rtl]
[rtl]The Oil Ministry and the state-owned Oil Marketing Company (SOMO) were not immediately available for comment.[/rtl]
[rtl]Officials said the refinery was producing about 260,000 barrels of fuel oil per day before it stopped operating.[/rtl]
