    Information/ Baghdad..
MP Mudar Maan determined, on Tuesday, the fate of the unified retirement law in the country.
Maan said in an interview with Al-Maalouma, "The unified retirement law is currently in the State Council for government amendments after it was withdrawn from the Finance Committee following the first reading."
He added, "We seek to achieve multiple amendments to the retirement law, the most prominent of which is raising the age to 63, especially since all the reports of the Ministry of Planning indicated beyond doubt that the state has lost important expertise due to the implementation of the retirement age of 60 years, and therefore returning to the previous context is a priority, along with addressing the file of deductions and supporting the retirement fund."
He pointed out that "we seek to accelerate the pace of work and push the government to send the law in order to complete its study before putting it to a vote as soon as possible because it represents a large segment of society."
It is noteworthy that the general retirement law has been surrounded by many negatives, which have led several parliamentary forces to pressure for its change, most notably raising the retirement age to 63. End 25 F
