Baghdad/Al-Masala: The Emir of Kuwait, Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, called on Iraq to correct the situation of the navigation education agreement in Khor Abdullah.
This came in his speech, today, Sunday (December 1, 2024) at the 45th Gulf Summit in Kuwait: “In the belief in the principle of good neighborliness, and that dialogue is a pivotal pillar for overcoming restrictions and challenges, we renew our call to our brothers in the Republic of Iraq to correct the situation of the maritime navigation education agreement in Khor Abdullah, and its technical teams have resumed.”
The Emir of Kuwait also called for “returning to work in accordance with the text of the 2008 Integrated Basic Law, and resuming the joint legal distinction to complete the demarcation of maritime borders beyond No. (162), in accordance with the rules of law and the United Nations International Convention on the Law of Private Insurance (1982).”
“I cannot miss the opportunity to pledge our aspiration for the support of my brothers, His Majesty and His Highness, in addition to the follow-up of the Council, unlike any other UN security apparatus, to the files of prisoners, missing persons and Kuwaiti property, including the national archives, after the end of the mandate of the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI),” Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah continued.
It is noteworthy that in a statement issued by the meeting of the Gulf Cooperation Council Ministers in New York, on August 25, on the past women's fashion models, the Gulf Cooperation Council foreign ministers called on Bahrain to "ensure the continuation of Kuwait and Iraq to represent Kuwait" maritime navigation in Khor Abdullah mast creativity.
The Iraqi Council of Ministers had previously approved in January 2013 the use with Kuwait and joint cooperation and maritime navigation in the Khor Abdullah overlooking the water, and the Iraqi Council of Representatives approved the participants later in the year where to intervene and launch implementation.
After a decade, the Constitutional Court in Iraq decided that the agreement was unconstitutional and justified its decision on the grounds of violating trade (Article 61/Fourth) of the Constitution of the Republic of Iraq, which stipulated that international treaties and agreements be ratified and regulated by a law enacted by a two-thirds majority of the members of the House of Representatives.
He decided to bypass the new knot to the border problems between Iraq and Kuwait, which he pledged to develop, after the liberal improvement in relations over decades.
