    Today, Wednesday, the representative of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan bloc, Susan Mansour, expected that not all the controversial laws would be passed during a single parliamentary session scheduled to be held in the coming days.


    Mansour said in an interview with:[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]News, "The laws of amnesty, personal status, and the return of properties seized by the former regime in Kirkuk should not be dealt with in this way of voting, but rather the laws that affect the individual and society should be dealt with in a way that makes them pass in the right ways," adding, "And if they do not serve the citizen, they should not be passed, no matter the political pressures."



    Mansour added that "political differences are still ongoing over passing these three laws as one batch during the upcoming sessions," suggesting that "one or two of them will likely be passed during the next session."[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Not all of them, as a result of the major disagreements between the blocs over the decision to pass or not.

    The political and popular arenas are witnessing anticipation of what the sessions will lead to.[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]The upcoming, as it is expected to witness intensive discussions on the (general amnesty and real estate return) laws, amid continuing disagreements over some of its articles that may affect the possibility of passing it unanimously. The amendment of the (personal status) law is also not far from disagreements and controversy over its paragraphs, while the leaders of the political blocs intensify their meetings to avoid these disagreements and agree to pass the laws.

    The House of Representatives was unable to hold its session on Monday and Tuesday (December 2 and 3, 2024) and pass any of these laws due to the intensification of disagreements between the political forces and blocs.
