Today, Tuesday, the Council of Ministers took a decision regarding the port of Faw and its affiliated projects.
A statement from the Prime Minister's Office received by "Mawazine News" stated: "The Council of Ministers agreed to include the naval base in the Grand Faw Port in Cabinet Resolution (63 of 2019), amended by Cabinet Resolution (220 of 2020), which is considered one of the necessary infrastructures for the Grand Faw Port; to provide the required protection for the port during operation and to enhance control and protection at the entrance to Khor Abdullah and Iraq's territorial waters."
